At Castrén & Snellman, we want to understand our clients' needs ever better and support them in the changing world. We require from our experts not only traditional lawyer skills and virtues, but also a genuine spark in their work towards this goal and a flexible mind that is always open to learning something new.
We are hiring
for full-time employment.
Do you want to gain valuable work experience of a law firm specialised in business law? We at Castrén & Snellman want to offer you the opportunity to become familiar with the everyday life of the legal industry as our trainee.
We are known for our straightforward spirit, i.e. the Castrén Spirit. Our employees’ satisfaction with their jobs has consistently been ranked top class. According to the Universum Student Survey, Finnish law students considered Castrén & Snellman to be their favourite employer amongst law firms in Finland for the fifth year in a row.
The duties of our trainee assistants include assisting lawyers in drafting documents and making their meeting and travel arrangements. Our trainee assistants are valuable team members who we can rely on to manage even difficult situations, because they can stitch up almost anything by printing, cutting and gluing. You fit in our team if you have a hard-working and cheerful attitude, excellent data processing skills and good skills in Finnish and in English.
The traineeship is paid full-time employment and it will take place between 5 September 2017 and 26 January 2018.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN APPLYING
If you think that Castrén & Snellman could be right for you, fill out our application form and tell us about yourself. If we don’t have your dream job open right now send us an open application.
We read every application we get and use video interviews to get a better picture of you. In the video interview, you film yourself answering a few questions that we will send you by e-mail. You will have 2–4 days to make your video.
We will invite some applicants to a face-to-face interview at our offices. At this stage, you will be interviewed by your potential new supervisor, a member of our HR team and sometimes another possible future colleague. There may be more than one round of interviews.
If you are applying for a permanent position, an aptitude test run by Mercuri Urval will be a part of the recruitment process. We have worked with Mercuri Urval for many years, and their test supplements and deepens the information from the interview. You will also get a link to an English test for general language skills, which will be taken into account in the recruiting process.
We will let all applicants know the results of the recruitment process either over the phone or via e-mail.
